And there's NO auto shut off so I can sew and quilt for hours. The steam is amazing. I only use my water sprayer for terminal wrinkles now. Pricey, but incredibly worth it.RubyJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14437897323868050172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15628809.post-47632575704920837092008-10-28T19:56:00.000-07:002008-10-28T19:56:00.000-07:00You poor thing. I stopped in at a Walmart and picked up one of their under $10 irons... I've been using it for about 4 years now and its still working great. My Rowenta sits on the shelf... go figure! lolEdnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09386607700449297473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15628809.post-92104790456191709572008-10-27T18:24:00.000-07:002008-10-27T18:24:00.000-07:00Oh my last iron was throwing sparks when I finally...Oh my last iron was throwing sparks when I finally decided to put it to rest. They are usually only a couple bucks, and the older ones will last you forever. At a couple bucks, buy a couple, or several, then you will have backups.

One thing I do, too, is I buy the travel irons. Most I buy are like new, because afterall, who irons? (Only quilters?) Most travel irons are graduation gifts, or gifts of another sort, and never used, or if they are used, not much. I have a bunch of ladies who meet in my basement once a month, and I have gifted several travel irons to them. They like them for their small size, and the fact they are compact and easy to pack and travel with. If the irons poop out, I just give them another one, but they do last a really long time.

If you like the compact irons, and you don't want steam, try to find the vintage travel irons. They get really HOT, and quilters LOVE them.
Let me know if you need one. I can send you one!

Just something to think about. Being the 'thrift queen' I am, I just can't help myself!

MichelleMichellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11994575359990994574noreply@blogger.com
