Bright enough for ya?

Remember how I told you I was squaring up some 4-patches? Well, here they are!

I'm planning on this to be the backing of the girly Bear's Paw quilt. And then I'm gonna donate it to Project Linus! :) Sure hope it doesn't give some girl nightmares. :P

It was really freeing sewing this together - I wasn't caring if points matched or anything. My only goal was not to have any same fabric blocks directly touching each other. You know how kids are...
"Eww! Mommy! She touched me!"
"I didn't not, the wind blew my hair!"
"Mommy! She BREATHED on me."
And then Mommy wants to know where can she go to resign. ;)

Leah

P.S. No, I don't have kids, but I'm young enough to still remember sitting in the car and saying "chop, chop, chop" with my hand to clearly define where the sibling sits and where I get to sit. Do NOT cross that invisible line! :)

I'm up with a croupy baby and I've been enjoying my visit here. Love your pineapple log cabin- yes, isn't batik a bear to hand-stitch? I like these bright cheerful blocks, too. I bet any girl would love them- mine would!

Hi,

Great quilt. Any girl would love to have it and cuddle with it. I love reading your blog. Every day I see another great quilt. I wish I had your energy and talent.

OH some little girl is going to love that quilt. It is going to have such a great top and fun back! I love it! And heck, my kids are teenagers and still hate touching each other!

This is lovely... and yes, its important that they don't touch, even if the corners aren't "perfect" lol

Hi Leah, I like your 4 patches..they look happy and comfortable..*VBS* And yes, it's very freeing to just "do it" when joining them up. They'll serve exactly the same purpose as if they were all matchy-matchy.

Love all the lime green in there..*VBG*

this would be an adorable child's quilt in it's own right.
