Quilting on hold

Don't call me Leah, call me Iron Killer. It wasn't even three months ago that I went through this.

My iron stopped heating and began to drip like CRAZY. Yeah, so much that I decided to make my picture look soggy too. The good news is that the receipt is in the box, and I'll be exchanging it tomorrow morning!

The really bad part? I also killed one of my mom's irons at the Christmas holidays. It was such a nice iron too! My dad bought it when I was visiting last summer, and they were using it ever since... till I killed it. :P The good news is that my mom has 2 more irons, but I have issues with both of them. She also has three ironing boards too! I don't seem to kill those, thankfully. :)

Goodnight from the Iron Killer. *sigh*

P.S. Any Battlestar Galactia fans out there? Who's your guess for the 5th Cylon?

LOL! I've killed more ironing boards than irons. I press down so hard that the ironing board starts to lean and I bend the metal to the point of no return. Now that I own the "mother of all irons" (Rowenta 1750 watt model) I don't have to apply such pressure any longer

Yay for keeping the receipt. Remember, you'll get back to work soon!

I thought my eyes were going wacky there for a second! Thanks for explaining that you made the pic look that way!

I don't use my iron like ruthie does! I'm an iron non-user, most of the time!

I thought that I was the only iron killer. I have bought 3 Rowentas since Nov. 2007 and I only have 1 left. One I returned because the heel rest melted and then it leaked water . The 2nd one had to have the cord replaced and the 3rd one is at the Rowenta service place in Toronto supposedly being checked out by their service person. Once you started ironing the yellow light would flash, meaning that it's not hot enough and then it would start to flash red, meaning too hot. Go figure! I sent them a nasty email and that's how my iron got to be there. Next time I will just by an inexpensive iron.

Oh, my. I've used Black and Decker for . . . well, my whole life, and they last and last. My current one is about 4 years old, and still works perfectly. I think you've just been unlucky!

My guess definately wasn't who it was. For some reason I kept thinking it was Callie.

This whole starbuck thing has me thrown for a loop though, any thoughts?

Dh said something about the 13th colony being all cylons and somehow that had to do with Starbuck but I wasn't paying that much attention and he is asleep so I can't ask him.

@Dana, my guess was Doc Cottle. Oops, wrong!

Actually, I no longer care about the whole 5th cylon thing... what in the world happened to Kara Thrace?! :D

I'm also wondering if ALL the people are cylons, not just the 12?
